Trine makes works that fuse photo-based processes with painterly gesture. For this series, he treats the image-making hardware as an instrument—physically rearranging components of a large-format printer to generate repeated prints on linen, then restructuring those prints through collage-like reordering and sewing. Painted acrylic passages are added after assembly, extending the photographic surface into a more tactile, multi-layered object that emphasizes how images are produced and interpreted.
