Arianna Cabrera is a Philadelphia-based, Dominican-born multidisciplinary visual artist whose practice centers on portraiture, identity, and womanhood. Self-taught and currently an undergraduate at Drexel University, she works across physical and digital platforms, creating intimate portraits informed by personal history and faith. Her layered techniques merge traditional portraiture with digital elements to evoke emotional depth and vulnerability. Cabrera prioritizes accessibility, ensuring her work resonates across gallery and digital spaces alike.
In Bearing Fruit, her series for Where We Begin Again, Cabrera explores how women bear fruit through creation, care, healing, and self-discovery. Her work captures the nuances of Black womanhood by blending cultural heritage with contemporary narratives. Through a faith-inspired lens, she infuses her creations with hope and valuation, inviting audiences to see themselves reflected and cherished in visual culture.
