Ornella Pocetti and Marcelo Canevari: X Marks the Spot

Marcelo Canevari was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He trained and worked as an illustrator of Argentine nature, including science outreach projects at the Bernardino Rivadavia Argentine Museum of Natural Sciences and with the National Parks Administration. His painting practice has been recognized through selections for major Argentine painting prizes and visual arts awards, including the 11th National Painting Prize of the Central Bank of Argentina, and the 13th and 14th UADE National Visual Arts Awards, as well as a UNNE Prize. He has also received honors at national salons and participated in group exhibitions across Argentina and internationally.

Ornella Pocetti was born in Buenos Aires in 1991. She studied Visual Arts at the Universidad Nacional de las Artes (UNA) and continued her training through workshops and programs. Her exhibitions include an early solo show (“Challenging Time” at Galería Acéfala) and later solo work in Miami at Mindy Solomon Gallery. She has received scholarships and residency experience, including participation in the Artistas x Artistas program at Munar and the Fountainhead Arts Residency in Miami. Her work has been selected for numerous national competitions and awards, and she currently lives and works in the La Boca neighborhood of Buenos Aires, where her studio is located.
