Michael Joo is a sculptor and installation artist whose practice investigates the materiality and agency of both organic and non-living forms. His work engages with concepts of growth, transformation, and the relationships between natural and constructed systems. Joo has a long history with major international exhibitions, representing South Korea at the Venice Biennale's national pavilion over two decades ago, and collaborating with curator Koyo Kouoh since their partnership at EVA International in 2014.
