2027 Arts in Parks Grant
the opportunity
Seattle's Office of Arts & Culture funds artists, creative workers, community groups, and organizations to bring arts and cultural activities to Seattle city parks between May and October 2027. Applicants request a fixed amount of $2,000, $4,000, $6,000, or $8,000 for project-related expenses. Applications are reviewed by a peer panel, with funding recommendations approved by OAC leadership in January 2027 and notifications in February; awardees produce their projects and submit reporting between May 1 and October 30, 2027 to receive funds. Guidelines are available in Amharic, Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Somali, Spanish, and Tagalog, and information sessions run September 21 (virtual) and October 8 (Garfield Community Center). Applications are submitted through the City of Seattle's online grant site.
eligibility
Individuals, organizations, or community groups that present arts and cultural activations in Seattle at least once a year, with a residential, business, or studio address (not a P.O. Box) in King County and a federal tax ID. Not eligible: applicants with an open Arts in Parks contract after December 31, 2026, those funded by the City for the same project, or recipients of a 2027 Seattle Parks Get Moving, Recreation For All, or Hope For Youth grant.
