About
Seen + Heard is a regional exhibition at the Dairy Barn Arts Center in Athens, Ohio, bringing together women and people with diverse experiences of femininity to tell their stories through visual art and traditional craft. The show centres on Appalachia and on work that challenges stereotypes and looks at womanhood, feminine identity and gendered experience in the region. Artists submit up to three works through the Dairy Barn's online form after paying the entry fee. A panel of three jurors selects the exhibition.
Eligibility
Open to artists and makers whose work explores womanhood, femininity and gendered experience in Appalachia. All entries must have been completed on or after January 1, 2024. Up to three works per artist.
