Artistic Production Grant: Spring 2027 Award Cycle
the opportunity
VIA Art Fund's semiannual grants of $25,000 to $100,000 for the production of newly commissioned works of visual art shown outside museum and gallery walls, in the public realm, or in non-traditional exhibition environments, with the upper range reserved for permanent installations or works to be gifted to a U.S. public collection. Projects are judged on VIA's three core values: artistic production, thought leadership, and public engagement. The Spring 2027 cycle opens with a letter of inquiry due November 5, 2026; selected applicants are invited December 15 to submit a full application by January 25, 2027, with awards announced in April 2027 for projects starting after June 15, 2027. An individual artist's LOI includes a project description, the amount requested, a balanced budget, a timeline, a CV, and a website link, submitted online.
eligibility
Individual artists, nonprofit organizations, and cultural institutions working in contemporary art in the US or internationally. Individual artists must have a confirmed exhibition venue or presenting partner for the proposed commission.
