About

The Foundry Art Centre in St. Charles, Missouri, a nonprofit art center in a converted 1920s train car factory, is jurying artists for its on-site studios. Selected artists sign a one-year studio lease and work in view of the public, joining the Foundry's community of resident artists. Applicants submit eight to ten images of work from the past two years with an artist statement, CV and process statement; jurors score Phase I blind, then invite finalists to present five works in person on January 28, 2027. Studios are awarded February 1, 2027. Residents must average 14 hours a week in the studio and attend at least half of the Foundry's openings and events.

Eligibility

Visual artists at any career stage aged 21 or older, applying alone or in groups of up to four sharing a studio. Media include painting, glass, collage, mixed media, ceramics, fiber, sculpture, new media, jewelry, printmaking and drawing. Residents need a St. Charles business license and renter's insurance.

Applications happen on Foundry Art Centre's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
