2027 Funded Environmental Artist Residency
Artists Association of Nantucket
You should apply if you're an artist 18 or older, in any medium, whose work deals with the environment or climate.
About
The Artists Association of Nantucket, with support from the GHYC Foundation, offers a funded residency for artists whose practice deals with the environment, climate and the natural world, running April 11 to May 8, 2027. The selected artist gets housing in the Hale apartment at AAN's Visual Arts Center, a private studio, a $3,000 stipend, $500 for travel and an exhibition in the Champion Gallery. In return the artist makes new work informed by the island's shifting coastline and habitats, gives an artist talk and develops a community workshop or participatory project with AAN's education department. Applicants email a PDF application with 8 to 12 images or links to video or audio work.
Eligibility
Emerging and established artists aged 18 or older, in any medium (visual, installation, performance, interdisciplinary, environmental), who are available for the full residency dates.
Applications happen on Artists Association of Nantucket's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
