About
Governors Island Arts is inviting proposals for its sixth annual Ice Sculpture Show, a live carving event on Liggett Terrace on Saturday, March 6, 2027, with a rain date of March 13. This year's theme is Traces. Selected artists or teams receive a $2,000 award, are given tools and production materials, and are paired with a professional ice carver to finish the piece on the day. Applicants submit a project proposal through the online form. Selected applicants are notified November 30, 2026, must accept by December 9, and should be available for an orientation in late February or early March.
