2027 Volland Residencies
the opportunity
The Volland Foundation hosts residencies on its property in the Flint Hills of Wabaunsee County, Kansas, eight miles outside Alma. Sessions run two or four weeks between spring and late fall, with housing and studio space provided and stipends of $500 for two weeks or $1,000 for four. Residents are not required to finish or show work, though some public interaction, such as an open studio, presentation or local activity, is encouraged. Applications are made through the Foundation's online form.
eligibility
Creative practitioners in any discipline, at any career stage (emerging, mid-level or professional) and from anywhere. Residents need their own vehicle and a valid driver's license because the site is remote.
