Millay Arts Core Residency, Session I 2027 (April–July)
the opportunity
Fully subsidized two-week to month-long residencies at Steepletop, the historic estate of poet Edna St. Vincent Millay in Austerlitz, New York, for cohorts of six to seven multidisciplinary artists, writers, and composers. Residents get a private bedroom and studio with linens, shared living spaces, a B&W darkroom, laundry, groceries, and communal dinners prepared by the in-house chef; the only cost if selected is a $100 nonrefundable deposit. Selection is by a blind jury of practicing professionals and alumni, so all identifying information must be removed from the statement and work sample. Collaborative pairs may apply with a single application. Partner-funded fellowships, some with stipends, are awarded from the same pool. The regular deadline is October 1, 2026 with a late deadline of October 8; this round covers Session I stays in April, May, June, or July 2027, and applicants state a preferred two-week or month-long length.
