Artist Support Grant 2026–27 (Albemarle Region)
the opportunity
Arts of the Albemarle in Elizabeth City gives Artist Support Grants of $500 to $1,000, backed by the North Carolina Arts Council, to artists in eight northeastern North Carolina counties. Funds can go to completing or presenting a significant new work, career promotion such as a website or documentation, or training; up to half the grant may pay the artist's own fees. A jury selects recipients, and applicants are notified by November 6, 2026. Proposals are submitted on the downloadable application.
eligibility
Artists and small collectives aged 18 or older, in all disciplines, who have lived for at least a year in Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Gates, Hertford, Pasquotank or Perquimans County. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, and emerging and established artists both qualify.
