About
The Art and Exhibits Committee of the University of South Dakota's University Libraries is taking entries for Altered Book IX: Material, Structure, Concept, its ninth altered book exhibition and seventh international juried one. Artists submit up to three works online, one image per piece. Juror Taína H. Cruz's selections are emailed on April 2, 2027, and accepted works are delivered in late June. The exhibition runs August 23, 2027 to January 3, 2028 in the University Libraries in Vermillion, in display cases 80 inches tall, 28.5 wide and 8.5 deep. Sale enquiries go straight to the artist, and works may join the Digital Library of South Dakota with a signed release.
Eligibility
Entry is open to all artists of any background or experience level, internationally. Works must be original altered books, not previously shown in a USD University Libraries altered book exhibition, and fit display cases 80 x 28.5 x 8.5 inches.
