About
Artists & Mothers awards grants of $25,000 to New York City artists who identify as mothers, to pay for childcare with the provider of their choice. The grant targets artists at an inflection point in their careers who show a commitment to their practice and an exhibition history, working in contemporary art such as painting, sculpture, installation, new media, performance and socially engaged forms. Applications are open from October 26, 2026 until January 4, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern. A jury of arts professionals selects the recipients, who are announced publicly in May 2027, and funds reach grantees in August 2027.
Eligibility
US citizens or permanent legal residents who live in one of the five boroughs of New York City, have at least five years of professional commitment to their practice, and have a child aged three or younger as of December 31, 2027.
