PhotoWork Junior Fellowship 2027
the opportunity
The PhotoWork Foundation is choosing six early-career photographers for its 2027 Junior Fellowship. From January to June 2027, each Fellow is paired with an established photographer working in the post-documentary tradition and meets them for monthly one-on-one online critiques while developing a project of their choice. Fellows receive a $1,000 production stipend and $2,000 in photographic services from picturehouse and thesmalldarkroom. Applicants submit 20 to 25 images from a project in progress along with written statements, including a 1,200-character description of their process. Ten shortlisted applicants get a portfolio review and a fee waiver for the next cycle.
