About

Maryland Federation of Art's seventh annual Digital Explorations is a blind-juried online exhibition of digitally produced art, shown in MFA's Virtual Gallery from February 15 to April 14, 2027. Any original 2D or 3D image-based work made or produced through digital software qualifies, including digital photography, digital painting, illustration, graphic design, video and projection. The juror is Mollye Bendell, artist and assistant professor of digital media and immersive media design at the University of Maryland. Artists upload up to six works made in the last three years; juror awards total $500, and works are offered through MFA's online sales gallery, with artists keeping 80% (85% for members). Notification is January 14, 2027.

Eligibility

Artists residing in any US state or territory, Canada or Mexico. Up to six original works completed within the past three years, made by the artist's own hand; no image-generative AI, no reproductions, and no work previously shown in MFA's Virtual Gallery. Work must be for sale (price on request allowed).
