LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2027
the opportunity
The LOEWE FOUNDATION's tenth annual Craft Prize awards €50,000 to one work or series in the applied arts, with €5,000 for each Special Mention. An expert panel shortlists up to 30 finalists, whose works are shipped to Madrid at the Foundation's expense for the jury and shown in an exhibition and catalogue in spring 2027. Entrants submit online, in English, a short biography, a portfolio of up to five career highlights, details and two to five photographs of the entered work, a statement of up to 200 words and an ID document. The work must be an original, handmade or partly handmade one-off made in the last five years that has not won other prizes. Registration closes at 23:59 CET.
eligibility
Professional artisans aged 18 or older, of any nationality, entering individually or as a group; businesses are excluded. Work falls within the applied arts (ceramics, bookbinding, enamel, jewellery, lacquer, metal, furniture, leather, textiles, glass, wood, paper and similar), within size and weight limits. Previous finalists' works are not admitted.
