In The City 2027
the opportunity
Maryland Federation of Art's third In The City exhibition, on the essence of urban environments from skylines, crosswalks, and crowds to the restaurants, festivals, and graffiti that mark a particular place, at MFA's Circle Gallery in Annapolis February 3–27, 2027. Juror Rob Pointon, a British plein air painter and full member of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, makes the blind selection and designates awards totaling $1,000. Any original 2D or 3D work that follows MFA's exhibition guidelines is considered; artists may enter up to six works made within the past three years through ArtCall.org, where each work is one paid application with up to two images. MFA does not accept reproductions or work made with image-generative AI.
eligibility
Artists residing in any state or territory of the United States, Canada, or Mexico. Original work only, created by the artist's own hand within the past three years.
fees
$45 for 1 or 2 entries (MFA members $30); up to 4 additional entries $6.75 each (members $4.50), non-refundable
