How to Hold Time: Juried Exhibition for Artists 65+
Arts Center in Orange
You should apply if you're an artist aged 65 or older with an active practice in any medium, anywhere.
About
How to Hold Time is a juried group exhibition at The Arts Center in Orange, Virginia, for artists who have kept their practice going past the age of 65, on view June 4 to July 31, 2027. The theme comes from one of Pablo Neruda's Elemental Odes, which treats time as two currents meeting: the weight of the past and the unfolding present. All media are welcome, including textile and interdisciplinary work. Applicants email 5 to 10 images or time-based samples of recent work, a 300 to 500 word statement and a CV or short biography. The top award is $1,000, followed by prizes of $650, $350 and $200 and three $100 juror's choice awards.
Eligibility
Artists aged 65 or older with an ongoing, active creative practice; open to local, national and international artists.
