About

Kinhouse, a contemporary gallery in Fort Wayne, Indiana, takes proposals each year for solo, two-person and three-person exhibitions, including collaborations, collectives, performance, installation, site-specific work and curator-organized shows. Director Kaylan Buteyn will pick three or four proposals for 2027. Each comes with a fully funded six-night stay at the Kinhouse Residency, a three-minute drive from the gallery, timed to the First Friday opening, plus installation support, promotion and professional documentation. Artists choose one of four week-long slots between March and August 2027; shows stay up for the following month. Work samples may be works in progress.

Eligibility

Emerging and mid-career artists and curators of all genders and backgrounds, in any medium. Proposals engaging community, care, belonging, the domestic, parenting, craft and lineage are especially welcome. Artists cover return shipping if the gallery deinstalls and ships work back.

Applications happen on Kinhouse's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
