About
Cultivate runs the self-directed La Baldi Residency in Montegiovi, a hilltop village in southern Tuscany, for artists, writers and researchers working individually or in teams, for two weeks to a month between April and October 2027. Residents live in private village accommodation with indoor and outdoor workspace and twice-weekly transport to town. The residency is self-funded at 1,000 euros for two weeks or 1,600 for a month, but Cultivate gives two one-month subsidized awards a year that cover all fees. Apply by January 2 for an award; self-funded places stay open until May 1.
Eligibility
Open to artists, writers and researchers at any stage of practice, individually or as collaborative teams of two or three, whose work engages land, place and the commons; international applicants welcome and each team member applies individually.
