Traditional Arts Apprenticeships 2027
Arts Idaho (Idaho Commission on the Arts)
You should apply if you're a practicing traditional artist ready to mentor an apprentice who lives in Idaho.
About
Arts Idaho's annual Traditional Arts Apprenticeship grant supports a learning partnership in which a recognized mentor artist teaches one or more apprentices to carry on an artistic tradition of a shared cultural heritage. Awards of up to $3,000 go to the mentor artist. Apprenticeships last no more than ten months and must include a public presentation or demonstration. Apprentices should already have some background in the art form and commit to continuing it afterward. The mentor applies through the commission's online grants system; new accounts are approved during business hours.
Eligibility
The applicant is the mentor artist: a practicing artist 18 or older who is a U.S. citizen, legal resident or refugee. Apprentices must live in Idaho and may be under 18. Applicants must have no outstanding final reports on past Commission grants.
Applications happen on Arts Idaho (Idaho Commission on the Arts)'s website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
