the opportunity
The 42nd annual Yosemite Renaissance exhibition of art inspired by Yosemite National Park and the California Sierra Nevada, opening March 20, 2027 at Yosemite Gateway Art Center in Oakhurst, California, with a reception March 27, then traveling to other California art centers from roughly May 2027 to February 2028. About 50 works are chosen from digital entries by a panel of artists, curators, and arts administrators, and $4,000 in cash awards is decided by separate independent judges, all announced at the opening. Subject matter must relate to the landscape, environment, wildlife, or people of the region, from Lake Tahoe to Tehachapi and including Sequoia, Mono Lake, Bodie, and the White Mountains; representational and non-representational work are both welcome, as are environmental and cultural themes. Entry is through SmarterEntry.com with an artist statement and biography; each artist may enter up to eight works, with no more than two accepted. All work must be for sale, with a 40% commission.
eligibility
Open to artists worldwide working in any media except film, video, interactive media, or performance; entries and communication must be in English. Original works only (limited-edition prints, photographs, and digital multiples allowed; no reproductions). All submitted work must be for sale at a price that cannot change after entry.

$25 for the first entry, $15 each for entries 2–5, $10 each for entries 6–8; non-refundable
