You should apply if you're 18 or older and have lived at least six months in one of twelve Southeastern states.
About
ArtFields is an annual competition and festival that fills Lake City, South Carolina, with art from across the Southeast, shown in galleries, warehouses, restaurants and shops downtown. Artists submit one work in any visual medium with high-resolution images through the ArtFields submission platform. A jury of art professionals picks a $50,000 Grand Prize and a $25,000 Second Place, alongside other awards including People's Choice prizes. Selected artists are notified in December, and the 2027 festival runs April 9 to May 1, 2027, with installation starting March 5. Prize-winning works must stay available for a further 90-day exhibition.
Eligibility
Artists 18 or older who have lived for at least six months in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia or West Virginia. One artwork per artist; work previously shown at ArtFields is not eligible.
