2026 Artadia Houston Award
Artadia
You should apply if you're a contemporary visual artist who has lived and worked in Harris County, Texas, for at least two years and isn't in an art degree program.
About
Artadia gives unrestricted awards to visual artists in its partner cities, and the Houston application is open October 1 to November 1, 2026. A jury of three curators, including one Houston-based curator, picks six finalists, who then have 45-minute virtual studio visits with a second jury. Three awardees each receive $15,000 in unrestricted funds plus access to the Artadia Network and a page on its artist registry; finalists not chosen receive an honorarium. Applicants submit images or up to six minutes of time-based media through Submittable.
Eligibility
Contemporary visual artists who have lived and worked in Harris County for at least two consecutive years before the deadline. Not open to anyone enrolled in or planning to enter an art degree program, to past Artadia awardees of $10,000 or more, or to cinematic filmmakers. Collaboratives qualify if all members meet the rules.
Applications happen on Artadia's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
