About
SLC Arts administers New York State Council on the Arts regrant funds in the North Country. The Individual Artist Grant awards $1,500 or $3,000 to create new, original work that engages the community through a public exhibition or performance, or through community involvement in the creative process. No matching funds are required. Projects must take place during 2027. First-time applicants must attend an info session or meet the Grants Manager before applying, and drafts can be submitted for staff feedback until December 1. Up to five individual artist grants are made per county.
Eligibility
Individual artists 18 or older living in Jefferson, Lewis or St. Lawrence County, New York, or a Tribal Nation such as Akwesasne; funded activity must take place in the same county. Applicants may not be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree program and must apply under their own name.
