About
Rockport Center for the Arts holds Rising Eyes of Texas each year, a statewide juried exhibition for undergraduate and graduate art students in Texas. The 2027 show runs February 27 to March 28, 2027, and is juried by Angalee DeForest, a professional artist, Rockport's 2019 Master Artist and a former board member. All media are accepted, and entries are submitted online, up to three works per artist. First prize wins $500, second $300 and third $200. Artists receive 60% of the price of any work sold, and accepted artists are notified by February 9.
Eligibility
Students 18 or older currently enrolled at a university, college, community college or technical school in Texas, undergraduate or graduate. Proof of enrollment with a current student ID is required. All media accepted.
