About
Wildacres Retreat in the North Carolina mountains hosts about seventy artists a year for one-week residencies, and a few two-week ones, from April through October 2027, at no cost to participants. Residents live in one of three self-catering cabins a quarter-mile from the retreat entrance. They can cook for themselves or eat in the retreat's dining room. The cabins have landlines but no internet, and WiFi is available only in the main area. Applicants submit an online application, a resume and work samples by midnight EST.
Eligibility
Open to all artistic disciplines. Past residents wait two years before reapplying. Spouses, guests and pets are not permitted.
