About
The University of Texas at Tyler's Department of Art and Art History runs this juried international competition at its Meadows Gallery, open January 19 to March 5, 2027, with a reception and juror presentation on March 4. This year's juror is Diana Roberts, a San Antonio arts writer, curator and administrator. Artists submit images of up to three works made in the last three years through the online entry system; accepted artists are notified by email on December 14, 2026 and ship or hand-deliver work by January 8, 2027 at their own cost. The department buys three to six works from each exhibition for its permanent collection, which is shown across the main campus.
Eligibility
Open internationally to any artist over 18 working in two-dimensional media: paintings, drawings, prints, fiber arts and photographs created in the last three years. Artists cover shipping, insurance and a prepaid return label.
