About
The St. Johns Cultural Council, on behalf of the City of St. Augustine Beach, Florida, seeks an artist or team to design and paint a welcome mural on the city's Facilities Building at 2200 A1A South. The mural should use imagery and colors drawn from local flora and fauna, carry a postcard-style "Welcome" or "St. Augustine Beach" message on the front, and grow out of community engagement the artist designs. The project budget is $25,000, all costs included. Qualifications go in as one PDF by email. Three or four finalists each receive a $750 stipend to develop a concept proposal.
Eligibility
Visual, craft or design artists or teams aged 18+, based in Florida (Northeastern Florida encouraged) and legal US residents or citizens; organizations are not eligible.
