Au Naturel: The Nude in the 21st Century 2027
the opportunity
The seventeenth annual international juried exhibition of the nude human figure at Clatsop Community College's Royal Nebeker Art Gallery in Astoria, Oregon, on view January 21 through March 11, 2027, with a reception and awards presentation February 18. The show is built around the hand-rendered mark: drawing, painting, printmaking, and this year a limited number of three-dimensional works, from representational to abstract. Juror Daniel Peabody is Senior Gallery Director at Elizabeth Leach Gallery in Portland and a past president of the Portland Art Dealers Association. Awards are $1,000 in cash prizes and up to $2,000 in purchase awards, and one or more artists may be offered a later group or solo show in the gallery; a small number of Visiting Artist Workshop awards may also be granted. Entries are submitted through CaFÉ.
eligibility
Artists 18 and older, anywhere in the world. Work must depict the nude human figure in drawing, painting, printmaking, or select 3D media, with the handmade mark as the primary means of image-making; lens-based, digital, and photo-mechanical work is outside the scope. Size and weight limits are in the application.
