About
Yaddo offers residencies of two weeks to two months, with room, board, and a studio, to professional artists working in painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, performance, video, film, choreography, literature, and musical composition. The Winter Application Cycle covers residencies starting May 2027 through March 2028: the SlideRoom portal opens November 1, 2026 and closes December 20 at 11:59 PM Eastern, with results emailed by mid-March. Applications are judged solely on the quality of the work by a peer panel that changes each season, and Yaddo places no publication, exhibition, or performance requirements on residents. Artists are responsible for their own travel.
Eligibility
Professional and emerging artists of any nationality in the listed disciplines. Artists enrolled in a degree program or completing degree work at the time of application are not eligible. Artists may apply only once every other calendar year, regardless of a previous outcome.
