800 Monroe Resiliency Park Interactive Sculpture
City of Hoboken
You should apply if you're a public artist who makes outdoor sculpture that visitors can touch, climb or interact with.

About
The City of Hoboken and its Arts Advisory Committee are commissioning a site-specific sculpture for the future 800 Monroe Resiliency Park, built on a former factory site that floods in heavy rain. The work should be interactive, tactile or climbable and speak to Hoboken's industrial past and its resiliency efforts. It will sit in an area of about 42 by 25 feet. Artists apply through an online form with a letter of interest, examples of past work, concept sketches and a rough project budget. Submissions are read blind by the committee. The selected proposal goes to a public hearing before the City Council, and the City funds the project through the Hoboken Public Art Fund.
Eligibility
Artists who practice outdoor public art making; the call is described as ideal for environmentally focused practices. Submissions are read blind, so letters must leave out personally revealing details.
Applications happen on City of Hoboken's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
