About
Anderson Ranch Arts Center's residency program hosts about twenty emerging and established visual artists a year in ceramics, photography and new media, furniture design and woodworking, painting and drawing, printmaking, and sculpture. Residents get housing, meals, and studio space on the Ranch campus, plus feedback from visiting artists and critics. The Fall residency is ten weeks (October 6–December 15, 2027) at a $1,500 fee; each Spring residency is five weeks at $750, plus a $100 studio fee. A select group of the residencies are fully funded fellowships chosen by the jury. Applications open December 16, 2026 through SlideRoom and require a statement of purpose, CV, three references, and ten images or videos of work from the past three years; decisions go out in April 2027.
Eligibility
Applicants must be 21 or older. Open to emerging and established visual artists working in the Ranch's studio disciplines; deferrals are not accommodated, so applicants must be available for the term they apply to.
