About
The Portrait Society of America's 29th annual International competition for portraiture and figurative art is open to all artists, members or not, in a variety of mediums. The Rorick Grand Prize is $50,000 in cash. Each artist can submit up to three original artworks. Selected finalists must exhibit their original work and attend the Art of the Portrait conference in Washington, DC, from May 6 to 9, 2027, where final judging and awards take place and a gala banquet is held on May 8. Applications opened September 30, 2026. The file upload deadline is February 17, 2027, and finalists are notified March 17, 2027.
Eligibility
Open to all artists, members and non-members, working in portraiture and figurative art. Entries must be the artist's own original design and concept. Finalists must attend the conference in Washington, DC.
