About
A funded month-long residency, September 2–29, 2027, for a cohort of five early-career artists at Anderson Center at Tower View in Red Wing, Minnesota, supported by the Jerome Foundation. Each artist receives a $625-per-week stipend, a travel honorarium, documentation support, art-making resources, lodging and studio space, groceries, and chef-prepared communal dinners. The program is interdisciplinary and generative: it is for artists creating entirely new original work rather than interpreting or remounting the work of others. Applicants submit an artist statement, a work plan, work samples, and a CV through Submittable; selected artists, wait-list, and runners-up are notified by March 2, 2027.
Eligibility
Artists who have been legal residents of Minnesota or one of the five boroughs of New York City for at least one year before applying, who self-identify as early career with 2–10 years of generative practice (age is not a factor; artists in the field longer than 10 years are generally not eligible), and who are not enrolled in any degree-granting program from application through the residency.
