About

Red Corner International Residency, run by the Mongolian Contemporary Art Support Association, offers its third two-week nomadic residency in two cohorts, July 14 to 27 and August 1 to 14, 2027. Participants spend a week in shared apartments in Ulaanbaatar visiting museums, galleries and artists' studios, then travel to the granite landscape of Ikh Gazriin Chuluu in the Gobi for three nights in gers and stay with a nomadic family in the countryside. The fee covers airport pick-up, accommodation, meals and all trips. Applicants email a three-page portfolio, their country of origin and residence, and a one-page plan for their time in Mongolia; results come within two weeks, and places close early once deposits fill the cohorts.

Eligibility

Artists, writers, curators and critics from any country with a practice in visual arts, performance, music, film, curating or art criticism and at least three years of professional experience. Applicants must communicate in English, be fit for long off-road travel, and hold travel insurance.

Applications happen on Red Corner International Residency (MCASA)'s website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
