About

The Aftermath Project awards one $25,000 grant to a working photographer to create a body of still photographs on how people rebuild lives and civil society after conflict, and names four finalists. The grant pays 50% at the start, 40% midway and 10% after delivery of 12 archival prints. Funds cannot pay for video, audio, exhibitions or book publication. Applicants send a signed application with images sized to 1200 pixels on the longest side. The deadline is Tuesday, December 1, 2026.

Eligibility

Working photographers anywhere in the world on a post-conflict project. Full-time students, and the funder's staff, directors, advisers, current judges and their immediate families, are excluded.

Applications happen on The Aftermath Project's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
