Alaska State Parks Artist-in-Residence 2027
Alaska State Parks Artist-in-Residence
You should apply if you're an artist in any discipline, from anywhere, who wants to work in an Alaska state park cabin.
About
Alaska State Parks offers artists up to five days in a state park public-use cabin to explore the park system. The 2027 season application period runs October 1 to October 31, 2026, with confirmations by November 30. In return, each artist donates at least one original work inspired by the residency within six months, with a high-resolution image and reproduction rights, and leads a community outreach event such as a workshop, demonstration or talk during or within three months after the stay. Artists cover their own travel to and from the cabin.
Eligibility
Artists of all disciplines from anywhere in the world may apply. Selected artists must donate one original work to Alaska State Parks, relinquish publishing and reproduction rights to it, and host a public outreach program.
Applications happen on Alaska State Parks Artist-in-Residence's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
