apexart
You should apply if you have an idea for a group exhibition — anyone from anywhere can propose, no curatorial experience needed.
About
apexart's NYC Open Call invites exhibition proposals that are judged by an online international jury. A proposal is an idea-based group exhibition presented for the first time, written in up to 500 words, plus the names of three artists you might include. Winning proposals become part of apexart's next season in its Manhattan space. Each exhibition receives a $10,000 budget: up to $8,000 covers travel, shipping, artist honorariums and installation, and the organizer receives up to a $2,000 honorarium for coordinating the show and writing the brochure essay. apexart staff support production.
Eligibility
Anyone from anywhere can submit; curatorial experience is not required. Curatorial teams and collectives are welcome. The show must include at least three artists working independently, cannot be an artist project, and proposals must be in English.
