Bear Gallery 2028 Exhibition Season
Fairbanks Arts Association
You should apply if you're an Alaska artist 18 or older who hasn't had a Bear Gallery show since before 2024.
About
Fairbanks Arts Association is taking proposals for solo, group and curated exhibitions in the Bear Gallery for its 2028 season, February to November. The gallery, on the third floor of the Alaska Centennial Center for the Arts in Pioneer Park, usually hosts two exhibitions a month by Alaskan artists. A panel of professional Alaskan artists reviews 7–10 recent work samples and an artist statement; solo and curated applicants also send a resume, and curated proposals need at least three committed artists. Applicants hear back in early 2027. The full guidelines and application form are hosted on CaFE.
Eligibility
Alaska residents (living in-state at least six months a year) aged 18 and older. An artist or group may show in the Bear Gallery once every four years, so those who last exhibited before 2024 can apply; the limit does not apply to curated shows. Work must be original, made within the last three years, and AI-generated imagery is not accepted.
Applications happen on Fairbanks Arts Association's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
