BADG Creative Visionary Grant 2026
Black Artists + Designers Guild
You should apply if you're a Black craft artist with a decade or more of studio practice and a project that needs $5,000.
About
The Black Artists + Designers Guild is giving two $5,000 Creative Visionary Grants to advanced Black makers in craft with 10 to 25 years of active studio practice. The grant backs projects rooted in craft traditions that affirm Black diasporic culture and the decolonization of the field, such as new work, completing an existing body of work, or a permanent public art installation. All craft disciplines are eligible. Applications close November 30, 2026 at 8:59 p.m. Eastern. Recipients must be able to receive taxable income in the United States and report the grant as income. Past BADG grant recipients are not eligible to apply again.
Eligibility
Black-identifying craftspeople with 10 to 25 years of creative practice. US citizenship is not required, but a US-based bank account is needed to receive the award. Previous BADG grant recipients may not apply.
Applications happen on Black Artists + Designers Guild's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
