About
Burnie Arts in Tasmania invites print artists to enter the Burnie Print Prize, an acquisitive national prize held since 2007. Entries are limited to print media: relief, intaglio, planographic and stencil printing, including digital reproductions of works made by traditional printmaking methods. Finalists are announced on November 27, 2026 and exhibited at Burnie Arts from March 20 to May 29, 2027. An $18,000 major prize is announced at the opening on March 19, 2027, and the winning work joins the Burnie collection.
Eligibility
Print-medium artworks only; painting, drawing, sculpture, photography and mixed media are not eligible. The organizer's Artwork Archive listing says the prize is open to Australian artists aged 18 and over.
