Chicago Sculpture Exhibit 2027-28 Call for Artists
Chicago Sculpture Exhibit
You should apply if you're an experienced professional sculptor with durable, large-scale work suited to outdoor sites in Chicago.
About
Chicago Sculpture Exhibit, a nonprofit working with the City of Chicago and the Chicago Park District, is selecting at least 40 sculptures for public sites across Chicago for its 2027-28 exhibition. Each selected work receives a $2,000 honorarium, half at contract signing and half at installation, and stays on view for one year from May 2027. Artists submit up to two works with an online entry form, CV, short biography, one-page statement and images. Artists handle delivery, installation, removal and liability insurance; a jury meets in December 2026.
Eligibility
Open to all experienced professional sculptors. Work must be original, weather-durable, structurally sound for an unsupervised public setting, and suited to a dense urban site; large-scale pieces are requested. Artists must carry general liability insurance for the work.
Applications happen on Chicago Sculpture Exhibit's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
