Chulitna Lodge Summer 2027 Fellowships and Residencies
Chulitna Lodge
You should apply if you're an artist who wants a fully funded six weeks in the Alaskan wilderness and can share daily chores.

About
Chulitna Lodge, a historic wilderness lodge in Alaska reached by charter flight, hosts artists, writers, researchers and musicians for summer 2027 six-week fellowships and reduced-fee residencies. Fellows pay nothing: room and board with gourmet meals, a travel stipend and the charter flight from Anchorage are all covered, in exchange for sharing daily chores. They live in log cabins or private yurts that double as studios, with a complete wood shop, some printmaking equipment and ample light for painters. One fellowship, from May 15 to June 25, is reserved for an Alaska resident. Applicants apply through SlideRoom by November 28 at 11:59 p.m. Alaska Time, earlier than in past years.
Eligibility
Professional artists through enthusiastic hobbyists in visual art, writing, research, music and dance. One fellowship is reserved for an Alaska resident with a state-issued ID or driver's license; other applicants apply to all fellowship and residency offerings.
Applications happen on Chulitna Lodge's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
