Death as Culture: Virtual Artist Residency
Kolaj Institute
You should apply if you're an artist over 21, anywhere in the world, working in or curious about social and political collage.
About
Kolaj Institute is running a four-week online residency, November 29 to December 20, 2026, on death as a subject in folklore, ritual and culture, aimed at artists working in social and political collage. Residents meet in four scheduled two-hour video sessions and a group chat, research and make collage, present their work, receive curatorial feedback, and discuss appropriation, copyright and fair use. Artists are expected to attend every session and complete assignments, and keep all rights to collages made during the residency.
Eligibility
Open to any artist over the age of 21 from anywhere in the world. Residents must attend all four scheduled online sessions.
Applications happen on Kolaj Institute's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
