Glasgow Ceramic Studio Mid-Career International Residency 2027
Glasgow Ceramic Studio
You should apply if you've worked in ceramics for at least ten years and live outside the UK.
About
Glasgow Ceramic Studio, an artist-run nonprofit, is offering a three-month residency for an international ceramicist at some point between June and September 2027. The resident gets a free desk and shelving on the studio's shared mezzanine, access to electric and gas kilns, a glaze room, wheels, a plaster area and a slab roller, plus a £1,500 honorarium toward flights, rent, materials or firings. Accommodation isn't provided and firing costs are the resident's. There's no expectation of finished work; residents run an informal workshop for members and a public talk or open studio near the end. Shortlisted applicants interview on Zoom December 14–16, and results come before December 21.
Eligibility
Mid-career ceramic artists with at least 10 years of practice (study years do not count) who live and work outside the UK, including UK citizens with a permanent address abroad. Applicants must be able to stay in the UK for 90 days; the studio cannot sponsor a visa.
Applications happen on Glasgow Ceramic Studio's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
