About
An acquisitive art prize run by the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum & Gallery that asks artists to respond to the museum's Halloran Collection: Science & the Sea. The 2027 theme is 'Between Light and Reason', and entries must be new work made for the prize. The prize pool is $27,000 AUD: $20,000 for first place (acquired into the collection), $5,000 for the runner-up and $2,000 for the People's Choice. Artists enter one artwork per online form with an image, a statement of up to 300 words, a short artist profile and a CV. Works offered for sale carry a 30% museum commission. Eligibility
Permanent residents of New South Wales or the ACT aged 18 or over. Entries must be original, made in response to the Halloran Science & the Sea collection and the 2027 theme, and not previously exhibited.
