About

The HERALBONY Art Prize is an international award, founded in 2024 by the Japanese company HERALBONY, for artists with disabilities, professional or amateur. The 2027 edition offers a JPY 3 million Grand Prize, Jury Prizes chosen by curators and gallery directors, and Corporate Prizes chosen by sponsor companies, whose winners can discuss licensing their work. Winning works become the subject of a licensing agreement with HERALBONY. Artists, or a family member or affiliated organization on their behalf, may submit up to three wall-mounted 2D works, such as painting, prints, digital art, photography or mixed media, up to 200 cm and 15 kg. Shortlisted works must be available for loan from January to August 2027, with international shipping covered by the organizer.

Eligibility

Artists with disabilities of any age, gender or nationality, professional or amateur. Shortlisted applicants must provide government disability identification, a special-needs school or welfare facility enrolment certificate, or a medical certificate. Works must be owned by the artist, not AI-generated, never commercialized, and not prize winners elsewhere. No sculpture, 3D, video or audio.

Applications happen on HERALBONY Art Prize's website. Seeke reviews and indexes the listing but does not accept applications.
